Explaining her recent work with colleagues to review efficacy of prejudice reduction trainings, Center Deputy Director Betsy Levy Paluck, wrote an op-ed appearing in The Washington Post under the headline "Does diversity training work? We don’t know — and here is why." It has received wide readership. Paluck cites results from the review that she and colleagues published in Annual Review of Psychology of 418 experiments reported in 309 manuscripts from 2007 to 2019 studying a variety of prejudice reduction interventions. Quantitative meta-analysis and qualitative assessment concluded that "much research effort is theoretically and empirically ill-suited to provide actionable, evidence-based recommendations for reducing prejudice."
