In September 2015, Princeton's Behavioral Policy Center was one of the sponsors of the White House event at which the Social and Behavioral Science Team (SBST), established under the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy about 18 months earlier, announced the results of its first set of programs.  This was preceded earlier that same week, by an executive order signed by President Obama directing government agencies to improve the effectiveness of federal programs by leveraging behavioral science insights.  Additionally, the September announcement served as the launching of the Behavioral Science & Policy Association’s (BSPA) “Behavioral Science and Policy Series” aimed at delivering, by September 2016, white papers that propose specific applications of behavioral science at the federal level.  Princeton’s Center was among those organizations tapped to contribute to these working groups.
